What’s with “ShuttlePad”?
We taught the high school class at our church for 8 years. One Sunday morning, Kyle said “Hey guys, the Shultz pad is open this Friday for anyone who wants to come hang out.”
A few moments later, one of the new kids asked: “What’s the Shuttle Pad?” Laughter…and the name stuck immediately. Never again was it Kyle and Julie’s house, nor the Shultz pad. The ShuttlePad was here to stay.
One boy. One girl. Sharing the front seat on a greyhound bus headed to Disney World.
The rest is history.
Kyle and Julie dated **9 years and got married precisely 1 week after Julie’s college graduation. 12 years later, they like each other even more, and with 3 kids to boot (9, 6, and 4).
Julie taught Jr. High before taking her dream job raising the fam.
Kyle changes careers completely every 5 years.

1. Adaptability 2. Positivity 3. Inclusiveness 4. Arranger 5. Developer
This explains a lot. Such as why she doesn’t vibrate at the frequency of worry. Or why she’s the wise, ever steady, discerning voice of reason. Or how she can make anyone feel welcome and heard.
Kyle’s Top 5 Strengths
1. Learner 2. Achiever 3. Responsibility 4. Focus 5. Futuristic
This also explains a lot. Such as why he has 57 hobbies, all of which he feels he must master. Or why he’s a dreamer. Or how he can work 14 hours on a single task without eating or blinking.
**All without breaking up a single time.
